Webinar with Dr. Alexi Nott (Glass lab, University of California, San Diego)

Title: “Cell type-specific enhancer-promoter connectivity maps in the human brain and associations with Alzheimer’s disease risk”

Venue: Universitätsklinikum Freiburg, Konferenzraum 1, Neurozentrum, Breisacher Str. 64, Freiburg

Time: 6:00 pm CET

Researchers at University of California San Diego School of Medicine and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies have recently elucidated, in Science, the CNS cell-specific contribution of the non-coding enhancer regions to psychiatric and neurological diseases. Using NGS on cells from healthy tissue isolated from six patients, they showed that microglia have enriched active enhancer regions that are linked to the disease risk variants in Alzheimer’s disease.
