Kick off NeuroMac Women

The kick-off meeting of the internal career-support program for young female scientists “NeuroMac Woman” took place in Freiburg on November 14th and 15th, 2017.

Five young female scientist from Freiburg and Berlin met to attend a talk by Peter Modler (“The Arrogance Principle”). The talk was afterwards heavily discussed at the networking evening. At the next day Dr. Daniel Erny (A07) offered a discussion on the topic “Suddenly PI”. Afterwards Maike Busson-Spielberger (equal opportunity consultant/head of EIRA-Mentoring, Universitätsklinik Freiburg) informed on career-support options for young female scientists and the necessity of a broad network to support a scientific career.
